Dr. Ashley Vander Hart
Veterinarian/ Owner
Meet Dr. Ashley Vander Hart, Owner/Veterinarian of the clinic. Ashley attended ISU where she received her DVM in 2015. Her passion for veterinary medicine started while working as a kennel assistant and assisting her hometown vet with emergencies. Ashley's favorite thing about the job is building relationships with patients and clients and that no day is the same. Her hobbies include fishing, hiking and any outdoor activities. Ashley is originally from Pella. She now resides in Edgewood with her wife, two children and her dog Harper.

Dr. Sami Waller (Kemp)
Veterinarian/ Owner
Meet Dr. Sami Kemp, Owner/Veterinarian of the clinic. Sami attended UW-Platteville for her bachelor's in Animal Science (2018) and then later received her DVM from ISU in 2022. She enjoys chute and calving season along with dentals! The start to her career in vet med began at a young age working on a dairy farm. Sami is most likely to get the dirtiest while out on farm calls. She has a continuously enthusiastic attitude and enjoys telling Dad jokes. Sami is originally from Dubuque area but now resides in Bankston with her husband and their two dogs Buddy and Duke. In her free time she farms with her husband raising bottle calves and cow/calf pairs.

Dr. Megan Johnson
Veterinarian/ Owner
Meet Dr. Megan Johnson, Owner/Veterinarian. Who has a slight obsession with penguins. She is originally from Dundee but now resides in Elkader with her husband, two children and her dog Wilma. She received her Bachelor’s in Dairy Science (2012) and DVM (2016) from ISU. Her interest in animal health started at a young age while milking goats on her family farm. Her specialties include working with sheep and goats. In her free time she enjoys kayaking, quilting, reading, traveling, gardening and hiking. The variety of the job is one of Dr. Johnson's favorite aspect of the job.

Hallie Gould
Registered Veterinary Technician
Meet Hallie Gould, Registered Veterinary Technician. Hallie received her Bachelor's degree from ISU in Animal Science and International Agriculture (2021) and her Veterinary technician degree from NICC in 2023. She is originally from Schaller, IA but now resides on her farm outside of Edgewood. Her favorite part of the job is equine and cattle work along with dentals. Hallie is known for her amazing cat-wrangling skills. Her hobbies include hiking, volleyball, softball and kayaking. Hallie and her husband have one daughter and two dogs (Nora and Milo) .

Madison Hummel-Reeves
Registered Veterinary Technician
Meet Madison Hummel, Registered Veterinary Technician/Social media coordinator. Madison is a 2021 Ed-Co graduate and received her Veterinary Technician degree from NICC in 2023. She originally started at the clinic as a work-study her senior year and was hired on after graduation. Her favorite part of the job is the clients and patients along with being part of a team that aspires for the same goals as her. Madison's specialty is small animal and equine work. Her hobbies include riding horses, kayaking, spending time with family/ friends and going on runs with Hallie. Madison resides in the Strawberry Point area with her husband and their two dogs (Daisy and Dolly), two Cat (Rick and Morty), and her horses (Eugein).

Hanna O'Dell
Veterinary Assistant/Office Manager
Meet Hanna O’Dell, Vet Assistant/Office Manager. Hanna graduated from Iowa City West in 2019 and studied at ISU. Her favorite thing about the job and specialty is chute work. Hanna started as seasonal help and loved it so much that she never left. You will always find Hanna with a greeting smile and full of random facts. Her hobbies include longboarding, kayaking, camping and chilling in a hammock. Hanna is originally from North Liberty, but she now resides in Strawberry Point with her cats Clover and Iris.

Jenna Funk
Veterinary Assistant
Meet Jenna, Vet Assistant. Jenna graduated from Clayton Ridge and went on to earn her Administrative Business degree from Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC). Jenna grew up on a farm near Garber and now resides in Edgewood. Her favorite part of working at the clinic is building relationships with our clients and helping care for their animals. She enjoys being part of a team that makes a difference for pets and their families every day. Outside of the clinic, Jenna enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, and kayaking.

Jordyn LeGassick
Client Service Representative (CSR)
Meet Jordyn LeGassick, Client Service Representative (CSR) who graduated from BYUI with an associate degree in Animal Science. Growing up on a farm in Manchester, she was surrounded by a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, and goats. Her upbringing fostered a lifelong passion for animals and a desire to work with them. Jordyn currently resides in Manchester with her puppy, Hank. Outside of work, she enjoys playing pickleball, watching movies, spending time with family, paddleboarding, and participating in anything competitive. She is excited to continue working with animals and building relationships with clients and their pets.

Nichole Riniker
Groomer
Nikki lives on a dairy farm with her husband and her 4 kids. She has been a groomer since 2010, working in the Manchester area. She raises beagles and likes hunting and fishing.

Carol Brown
Client Service Representative (CSR)
Meet Carol Brown, veterinary assistant who started at the Colesburg location in 1990, she later transferred to the Edgewood office. You can always find her greeting you with a friendly smile. Carol grew up around the Petersburg area and now resides outside Colesburg. In her free time she enjoys camping, reading, and spending time with her family and grandboys/granddogs! Her favorite part of the job is getting puppy cuddles.
